My deepest sympathies to all of Mike’s family and friends. I had the pleasure of working closely with Mike for over 35 years. We first crossed paths in the early 80’s when I was a young engineer working on the Rolls Royce Canisters and Mike was showing some visitors around Falcon Yard. It wasn’t long after this that I started to work more closely with Mike on numerous contracts. Mike built up an incredible network throughout the aerospace industry and could always be relied on to get things sorted when others couldn’t. Mike was very well respected, both by his colleagues, GKN’s customers and suppliers and was a cornerstone of the Cowes site for many years.
